Online poker is a fast moving game. It doesn't matter if you are playing Texas Holdem, Omaha poker or 7 cards stud, the game is always changing. But, what is going to happen to poker online in the future? Are gambling regulations going to eventually shut it down? Is it going to evolve into something else?
The thing about the future is that nobody knows what's going to happen. Online poker seems to be continually growing, but some places, like the USA, have gambling regulations that make it difficult for players to play. But, other countries are promoting and taxing online poker. In the next few years, and if the USA makes amendments to their gambling regulations, we will have a clearer picture of where the future of online poker rooms are going. It is important to note, though, that so far, online poker has been huge without the US, so it will probably continue to be large, even if US players are not allowed to play.
Also, mobile gaming seems to be gaining in popularity. While the applications that allow you to play poker on your cell phones are still pretty archaic, they are being developed, and it is not unlikely that in a few years, mobile gaming will be just as popular as online gaming is today. As more technology is being developed, more opportunities are arising.
All in all, the future of online poker is anyone's guess. Nobody knows what will happen, and really, there is nothing we can do about it. The best thing to do now, though, is head over to your favorite online poker room, Littlewoods poker, and play as much as you can. You never know when the game you love could change forever!
